I don;t know what to think anymore - i got this from a firend- things are hard when you work 3 jobs and try to make ends meet - I am in a half-way house write now becuase peopel say I stole and abused drugs- I used to but no more I am back on the path - and someone a sponsor - I can;t say her name gave me this book to inspire me to be a strong woman - I am a strong woman I survived abuse of every kind from everyone - and believe me when you;ve had a hot iron shoved in your face first thing in the morning by a man high as a kite being left by your husband for a mistress is no big deal. Jenny seems so angry and seems like she likes being so angry - yes she was hurt but she was also rich and has good health care and a publishing deal. If the man was a jerk which I am sure he was most every man are - then just leave him but don't try to make a bunch of money proving to everyone how good a person you are - I wonder if she ever had a cop slap her around or been fired from two or three jobs becuase peopel say you stole this tonya you stole that - well, she is angry and a man hater and maybe she has a reason to be - i don;t hate me I wish I could find one but no one wants me my time has passed - but Jenny is still good looking and she should find a way to be happy with all her money instead of being mad that some loser dumped her on national TV - if she was a christian like she says then she woudl forgive for real - its not forgiving forreal if you say in your book i forgive but then make lots of money off of talking about how much all the mens hurt you - but hristians are almost never real - they say so but then they try to protect themselves all the time - and leave you with nothing

I couldn't put it down. This is more than surviving a philandering spouse; it shows how to get through any of life's humbling, bewildering trials. I have been stunned to read some of the vicious posts about Jenny. Read the book before drawing conclusions. "Staying True" has the ring of truth. She's got courage, wit and principles. They both have kept the kids out of the limelight since moving out of the SC Governor's mansion. She gave the Governor a line in the sand,while seeking marriage counseling and with the help of many sources of emotional support. For writing the book (and promoting it) I say "You go, girl!"

Wonderful book. Jenny tells her story in a very strong and confident way because she is that kind of woman. As I have been in the same situation as her, this book was meaningful to me, especially at the end when she tells of dealing with the affair. I didn't stand by man either and I praise Jenny for her decision as well. This book will give women who have dealt with adulterous husbands or who haven't a look into a woman's life who is a survivor.

STAYING TRUE is narrated by the author and provides a fine unabridged production of her discovery that her husband was having an affair - and that he hadn't ended it. Her decision to not be the victim in the resulting tabloid news covers all the choices she made, and why. A splendid autobiography tells of her decisions and growth, making for a fine listen for any general audio collection.
